Hey, Girl!…..
You have taken that bold step toward the unknown. NOW WHAT?  Do, I hear crickets??? Well, if this is the case then that means you have no clue as to what I am talking about. So, here’s what’s going on.  YOU… have consciously made a choice to change something in your life.  It could have been anything, weight loss, finding a new job, treating yourself more often, work on your finances, start your new business, or go back to school.  With this choice you’re holding strong to believing that once you really change this one situation everything will fall in line.  Meanwhile, YOU… arm yourself with empowerment books, you listen to motivating YouTube channels and sermons; you may have even started a journal or have placed affirmations all over your house.

Now, after getting all this ammunition that empowers you…. YOU get even more motivated, ready, and primed to flex your change muscle.

At this point, in the game, I start pumping myself up saying, “Oh, yes! I’m living my best my life”.  During this time, something is going on.  Yes, the something that can make day to day be very unpredictable…its called Life.  Life can easily throw us off our course.  Our course we started because we knew it would make us better, happier, stronger, wiser, and freer in some way.  Things start happening that causes us to stop on our journey.  We just STOP!….. because making this change and dealing with a crisis can’t happen at the same time.  It’s too overwhelming & stressful.  It feels like we are lost in a forest with no compass. These life events start covering our vision for ourselves.  That’s when some women experience depression, sadness, detachment, anxiety and anger.  How do you get out of this stifling place and back to the woman who made the exciting decision in the first place????

YOU… have to find a way to trust yourself.  Trust that you’ve made the right decision at that right time.  Trust that you’re not the only one that is going through, and trust that each step no matter how small is significant for growth.  I have found myself in this place many times over.  It wasn’t until I trusted with my whole heart and trusted my faith that these seemingly crazy set backs weren’t meant to keep me from moving forward. And, despite any of the extra obstacles Life has thrown my way – I could still  press on.  I  focus, educate, affirm, reevaluate, listen, empower, set, and stay… or in short I pressed on by being FEARLESS

Remember you can’t stop the feeling of fear.  So, don’t try to crush it, because you will fail miserably and just make things worse.  Instead, be aware of it and  take away the energy you spend on it.  Doing this will be more beneficial!

8 Ways to Keep Your Energy From Fear
  • Focus on your end and not on what the present is giving you
  • Educate yourself constantly so that you are making a knowledgeable decision and not just an emotional one.
  • Affirmations help to give you mental support during your journey.  Find ones that are relevant to your needs.
  • Revaluate your course regularly. Allowing yourself flexibility will keep you from getting discouraged so quickly during your journey.
  • Listen to your gut.  In the mist of chaos, your gut will direct you. It may tell you to move forward or fall back.
  • Empowering yourself to take whatever time is needed to accomplish your goalWill boast your ownership to your decision.
  • Set mini goals in between this main goal This will give you the strength to keep your momentum in your journey.
  •  Stay present in your situation and don’t compare your now to someone else’s.  Every woman’s journey is different because their are things that are unique to you.
